Dear Daryl
Am interested to find out if you have researched Cuthbert Collingwood's ancestors at all.
My gggg-grandmother was Susannah COLLINGWOOD, married to Captain Thomas LARKINS of the East India Company. Her parents were Capt Edward COLLINGWOOD (RN) and 2nd wife Jane CARLTON. I believe that Susannah is third cousin to Adm Collingwood - her family is certainly maritime (mainly RN).
I would like to confirm this connection, so if anyone has a good pedigree of Cuthbert COLLINGWOOD, please let me know.
