I am beginning to research my family tree and have struck a problem. I am interested in any information on a William Alfred Collingwood (my grandfather)born about1852-54 in Lanark Scotland and died in 1920 in Adelaide. He is supposed to have emigrated to Australia from Lanark Scotland about 1869. I have checked passenger lists from all the usual places but cannot find where he arrived. He appears to have just mysteriously arrived.
