There is an IGI entry for a James Collingwood christened 8/29/1813 at Wigan, Lancashire (microfiche 6904006). Parents are William and Jane.

I don't see a marriage on the IGI for the right time and place. FreeBMD shows marraiges registered for James Henry Collingwood Mar 1838 in Grantham, James Collingwood June 1840 in Auckland, James Collingwood June 1848 in Aston. I don't where in England these are. Do you know if he was married in England or U.S.A.?

You might the 1880 US census at the LDS family Center. This would show who lived in the household with him and where each person was born (Country only if foreign born). This also will give an idea of when he died, ie. before or after 1880. Then check the Poughkeepsee Library for an Obituary.

Good Luck!
