Hello,
I'm looking for the ancestors of my 6th greatgrandfather, Joseph COLLINGS/COLLINS who was born about 1700, place unknown. He married Rachel DORSET in 1720 in Middletown, Monmouth Co., NJ. They had two children: Mary and John, from whom I descend. Rachel died and Joseph COLLINGS married again, this time to Rachel ROBERTS. They had no children. Joseph COLLINGS died in Middletown, Monmouth, NJ in June 1757. He was NOT the Joseph COLLINS, born 1695 in Lynn, Mass. son of Joseph COLLINS and Maria SMITH, contrary to popular belief. That Joseph COLLINS married Patience BENIGHTON in Lynn in 1717, lived and died in Lynn, Mass. Any help with the real ancestors of Joseph COLLINGS will be greatly appreciated.
