Hello Bob, Have just seen your old posting re Thomas Collings of Lympstone and Exeter and think I am interested in the same family.
1.Under Lympstone Parish Burials I found the entry for Isett Collings of Lympstone was buried on March 4th 1824 aged 67
2. In the Cathedral Records I found the marriage of John Baker of the Precinct of the Close and Mary Collings of the P of the Cl on the 5th February 1821 (not 1820 as it says in IGI) and the two witnesses were Rebecca Mitchell and John Kerridge Collings
3. I couldn't find the record of Mary Colins birth to John and Iset in the records for Gulliford Unitatian Chapel at Lympstone in 1783. I think the stuff I was looking at was a copy made at the end of the year and the original record may have shown such a christening or baptism, but it certainly wasn't in the register I looked at and I searched for ten or more years either side.....This record is on IG Mary the dau/ Johnn and Isett
John Baker and Mary nee Collings were my greatgreatgreat grandparents and I have been trying to search back further for their ancestors.
Do you have any more info re this family, particularly John and Isett Collings?
I look forward to hearing from you,
Angela Johnson
