William COLLINGS (COLLINS) was the son of Micajah COLLINGS and Martha BEASLEY, who moved to Greene Co., IN, in the early 1830s. Micajah (c1788-1850s) was an uncle to my Jesse COLLINGS, although Micajah's descendants apparently adopted the more common COLLINS surname after moving to Indiana. I have not done a lot of research on Micajah's line. According to info provided by others, he and Martha had at least four children: 1. William COLLINS (c1810-1850s), md/1 Martha BURCH (d/o Charles BURCH & Elizabeth SUTHERLAND); md/2 Perlina BURCH 2. George W. COLLINS, (c1812-?), md. Ann E. WESTMORELAND 3. Locky COLLINS (1815-1860), md. Davis BURCH (s/o George BURCH and Martha LAWRENCE) 4. Floyd COLLINS (1818-1876), md. Martha BURCH (d/o George BURCH and Martha LAWRENCE) William COLLINS (#1) and Martha BURCH had two known children -- Fuel (c1833-?) and Locky COLLINS (c1836-?) -- who both md. into the DANIELS line. William and Martha reportedly were divorced about 1845, after which William md. Perlina BURCH, supposedly in Gibson Co., IN. They had three children: William Thomas "Tom" (1848-1933), John (1855-1934) and Eunice Malissa COLLINS (1855-?). William (#1) is said to have died in Randolph Co., AR, in the late 1850s. The PRINGLEs and HATFIELDs are definitely connected. Check out my COLLINGS website for more info on those families: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~famlytre/Collings.htm
