I have recently started researching Collinge's in the Middleton area.

I have a James Collinge (born 1791) married to a Mally Turner (born 1794), in 1812. They had at least 9 children (possibly more), Robert (b 1814), Richmal (b 1821), James (b1823), Harriet(b1831), Martha (b1831), John (b1832), William (b1833), Sally (b1835) and Elizabeth (b1837).

I think there should be a Charles and possibly and Adam in this list too.

I am descended from Richmal who married William Jessop.

I have a record of the burials of Collinge's at St Leonards, as well as some marriages and a few baptisms, which may be of help to someone.

Middleton library have a file on a Collinge/Clegg fmaily tree.

I would love to here from any other Collinge reserachers in the area, and any one who may be linked to this family or have any relevant information. I am particularly interested in the baptism/marriage of Richmal or any info about the senior James Collinge.
