REV. JUNIUS S. COLLIERSC>GA>FL
He was the son of Rev. WM. E. COLLIER, also a Methodist minister(as well as a Civil War Veteran). Junius married MARY CLEMANTINE MCCOLLUM in 1870 in Micanopy, Florida. He was born about 1848 in South Carolina. He died in Live Oak, Florida, in 1917, and was buried in Tampa, Florida.
I saw another Junius S. Collier on the Confederacy Pension Index. It surprised me because it is such an unusual name. That Junius was apparently married to an Olive Mack. He applied for the pension in 1903, listed in CITRUS COUNTY, FL.
I am wondering if he must have been an uncle, perhaps the brother of William E. Collier. I thought perhaps a son, but a son would not have been old enough for the Civil War.
If you have info about the "other" Junius, please contact me. We can share an interesting and very large family.
Thanks, Sydney
