I am still working on the parents of Charles Collie. Have not verified my info yet. Know William Collie was a revolutionary war soldied in VA.Found listing of Jesse, Lewis, James, William S and Charles as possible children.About 1776 he was in Pittsylvania, VA.
You are right about Charles and Margaret having 12 children.Charles is my g-g-g-grandfather through son Lewis.
Know Margaret was a Clark. Her father, Joseph Clark and Charles Collie lived next door to each other in 1820 in Lincoln Co TN.(on census)
I know this did not help much sorry.
