I just found your message. The information I have is this: My mother was Catherine Lindsey Collie. She was born April 30, 1900, in Louisville, KY, and died Aug 30, 1987 in Fort Worth, TX. She was the 8th and last child of Daniel Levi Collie and Sarah Catherine (Morris) Collie. Sarah Catherine died in Feb. 1921 in Fort Worth and Daniel died in Nov.(?) 1932 in KY. They are both buried in Fort Worth. My Mother married Dr. William Sullivan Horn on Sept. 19, 1921. They lived in Fort Worth all their married lives. My father was born on Dec. 30, 1888 in Shelby County TX and died Dec. 7, 1957 in Fort Worth, TX.
I do know more about the Morris line as I have a very old DAR number from my mother's aunt Bette Taylor (I think). I am doing this from memory and don't have all this right in front of me. But if I recall correctly, there are some Hadaways or Holloways mentioned in this lineage. I will try to find my papers and see what is there. I am really new at doing this research and would appreciate your information on the Collies. My niece who lives in Charlotte NC found your message and alerted me. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.
