Hi Bob, My name is Sue Collamore and my great grandfather was Henry Collamore born 1810 in Devon, England. He married Sussanha Smith born 12/12/1813 in Georgeham. I have a list of their children, Heby (Heke) 2/8/1835, Eliza Jane 7/9/1837, Elizabeth 1840, William 1841, Edward 1846, George Washington Collamore (my grandfather) 4/27/1851 all of Georgeham, Devon, England and then Henry born in 1855 in Illinois. William married Betsy J. Blood 2/18/1865 and George married Nellie Blood 9/4/1867 in Sycamore also.When Nellie died George then married Mary jane Rogers 7/31/1881.
I think we have a connection here. I have just started on working this geneology stuff. My father is deceased and no one really talked much so I have gathered what I can of Obituaries and newspapers that my mother had and am taking it from there. I would really like to talk to you. Who was your father and where were you born. My 2 sisters and brother were born in Iowa. I was born here in Washington State. I'm probably jumping around here but I'm excited about working on this. I can tell you that my grandfather settled in Utica Nebraska and was the Marshall and town Masonary. To his first marriage he had 5 children with Nellie, Minnie 7/1868 Ill. Died 2/1918 in Seattle, WA. Married to Arnold Zbinden, Luella Collamore 1872 (M) David Lively, Maude E. 5/1874 Be. (M) Charles E. Marquis, Lenore A 6/2/1876 NE> (D) 12/8/1918 (M) Ira Carlton, George H. 3/1878 NE. (D) 1920 (M) Alice E Johnston 1899/1900. He then married Mary Jane Rogers they has 8 children (boy did they keep busy must have been cold) William Wesley 7/31/1884-5/30/1937 (M) Florence Nichols, Lewis Ishmael 1/21/1887-3/2/1945 (M) Mellis Leeling 2. Lena Kipp, Ethelyn Arletta 3/10/1889-2/12/1964 (M) Tressie Powell, Arthur H. 5/12/1891-3/26/1905, Elmer Elsworth 4/22/1894-10/29/1967 (M) Glena Bogue, Achsah Elizabeth 9/26/1896-8/27/1927 (M) George Robertson, Edward (My father) 4/9/1899-2/12/1973(M) Iva Bogue 2. Margaret Hansen (my mother), Dean 9/15/ 1901-9/5/1968 (M) Emmaretta Wayt. All born in Utica, NE. Hope I'm not boring you, I have more info also. Henry's fathers name was John 1767-3/11/1849 married Anne (b) 1771 (d) around 1851. They had 3 children Henry 1810, Susanna 5/19/1811 & Maria 3/14/1813.
