Hey Cousin,

My mom and your dad were brother and sister. Mom (Shirley Elizabeth Colgate Gourley) remembers the family as follows in order of birth.

5. John Thomas COLGATE was born on 5 Jul 1893 in Franklin Co., Ind. Died in 1951 in Nashville TN.
He married Anna Pearl JONES. Anna Pearl JONES was born on 5 Jan 1902 in Rutherford Co. Tenn and died Dec 26, 1983 in Nashville. They had the following children:
1.       Anna Josephine “Josie” Colgate, single living in Nashville as of 2/18/04
2.       John Thomas Colgate, Jr. (Twin) born Nov 22, 1921 Died in infancy.
3.       William Carleton Colgate born Aug 20, 1923
4.       Eugene Myers Colgate born Feb 1925
5.       Shirley Elizabeth Colgate (Gourley) May 29, 1927
6.       Sarah Ellen Colgate August 31, 1929
7.       Charles Austin Colgate March 1931
8.       Catherine Edwine Colgate born fall of 1934, died summer of 1935 of meningitis
9.       Harold Hugh Colgate (twin) Born Aug 20, 1935
10.       Carol Sue Colgate (twin) Born Aug 20, 1935
11.       Barbara Anne Colgate (Bobbie) Dec 24, 1936
12.       Elmer Wayne “Pete” Colgate July 2, 1937
