Hi Seana,

Yes, I know about James Colgan, he died in WW1 Belgium and I would love the info. you have.

Both daughters of Charles Rainey/Rennie and Matilda Erdis Rainey/Rennie married Colgans.

Jane Rainey B. 1881 Bonhill, Dunbarton, Scotland, married William Colgan B. abt. 1872 Co. Derry, in 1898 Belfast. William Colgan's father was James Colgan.

Matilda Rainey B. 1882 Bonhill, Dunbarton, Scotland, married Henry George Colgan B. 1872 Co. Derry, in 1902 Belfast.
Lyndsey does know for sure who Henry George Colgan's father was but his mother was Eliza Jane Colgan and she was the daughter of James Colgan B.1815 and Martha Stewart.

Lyndsey descends from Thomas Colgan B. 1881 son of James Colgan B. 1815 and his second marriage to Eliza Lee.

If you contact Lyndsey, she can probably explain it better.
Anyway the Rainey girls are my grgrandfather's so they would be half sister's to my grandfather, William Rennie.

Best wishes,
Elinor.
