Carol,

It has been years since you first posted, but for anybody researching this line I want to suggest that, in addition to looking for the name Colfer when you search, for Catherine Harper's family you should also look for the spelling Harpur. This is how the name is spelled in Bannow in County Wexford. My great-grandmother was a Colfer who married a Sinnott (one of many children of Nicholas Sinnott)and they were related to the Harpurs (according to my father). There are still Harpurs in Bannow parish.
