My great-grandfather's name was George Colford, also. He lived in Chezzetcook, NS, and I believe his birth date was about 1854. I think he had a brother named William; their father was also named George Colford, born about 1820, I believe (haven't confirmed these facts yet). I'm just getting started with my searching, so I don't have more details yet. My grandfather, Alfred Joseph Colford (m Annie E. Bellefontaine), moved to Reading, Massachusetts (my hometown) about 1923, as did most of his siblings.
