Joie, the 1851-1871 censuses for Northumberland County, NB show two Colford familys, one in Chatham (arrived 1836) and one in Blackville (arrived 1820). It's late at night so I can't dig into the deatils, but I will try in the morning if I can. I have lots of information on the various Carroll families in the county and am in the process of writing a series on them. Colford enters into two different Carroll families, Mary in 1864 and Catherine in 1877. These could be cousins, is my guess. It might be best to contact me directly. ----Joe
