I don't think my Colfords are the same as yours but they
are probably still related. My Mary married Mathew Carroll
and Had daughter Mary Elizabeth in about 1872. We were
told she was born in Douglastown although the family seem
to have been from Chatham. Another Carroll married a
Colford in 1877 in Blackville. This was James Carroll who
married Catherine Colford and according to Joe Carrolls
book on the Carrolls of Bartibog, this family went to
Minnesota. He says that her parents were Edward and Ann.
There was also an Archibald Colford on the 1851 census for
Chatham. Have you checked PANB and the Miramichi sites?
Your Goodwin from Sackville is interesting. I,too, have
connections with Sackville through the other side of my
family. There was a Goodwin's supermarket in Amherst,N.S.
I think there are other Colford postings here.
