The information comes from Bannow church registers, there are no other children to Thomas Colfer and Catherine Harper. There is no corresponding death for Richard in the deaths index for Eire. He may have died young before 1864. The 1853 Griffiths Valuations for Graigue, Bannow only have Matthew Colfer farming 14 acres and Richard Colfer with just a house i.e no Thomas. The sponsor for the baptism was Clement Colfer. Do you have any Clements or Andrews(Clement's brother) in the family?
