Coley Family Genealogy Forum

Hi everyone! I need some help and I'm hoping someone here just MIGHT be able to help me or provide more information for me. I am studying the genealogy of my family (last name Feeback). My grandfather, William Hart Feeback was married to a Peggy Coley in Muscogee County, Columbus, Ga. for a brief time after my grandmother Feeback died. From stories I have heard, my grandfather was married to a Peggy Coley for approximately 6 weeks before he died on June 24, 1980. My grandfather fought in WWII and in Vietnam. He gave 30 years of service to his country. He was buried with full military honors. Peggy Coley took the flag that draped my grandfather's casket. I was a very young girl at the time (8 years old) so I don't remember much except I was told that my mom, my aunts and my uncles begged Peggy Coley for his flag but she declined their request. If Peggy Coley is alive today she would be around 80 years old. I was hoping to find her or any children she might have had prior to the marriage to my grandfather to make a very humble plea to ask for my grandfather's flag if, of course, anyone still has it. I was told that she had some of my grandmother's jewelry as well but that is of no consequence to me as I have mementos from my grandmother but absolutely nothing from my grandfather. My mom has died and I no longer talk to any of my mother's brothers or sisters. The return of the flag would strictly be for me to pass down to my children in memory of a great man I called "Pap-pa". Any help would be appreciated beyond measure. Please e-mail me if you have information.
