I cannot help directly with your question, but curiously I have the name Lambert as a second forename for my father anf there seems no obvious origin for this. My Grandfather was Eimer Thomas Coles,his fther, Henry Riches Coles and his father william Coles. William Coles was born about 1774 and died 12 Nov 1815 buried at St mary Abbotts Kensington, he married Susan Riches 30 nov 1801 at Old Church St Pancras London but I have not been able to find William's parents or where he was born.
