Hello Diana- James M. Coleman was married to Julia Moncrief. My ggg grandmother was given to Julia by her mother Sophia Brashears. James (Jim)Coleman also testified for my ggg Uncle Nelson Coleman and the record of his testimony I have a copy of. Jim and Julia had no children. I believe that Eliphit was from his second marriage. My ggg grandmother and her children were owned by the Brashears. When Julia died, they were owned by James Coleman. I'm trying to find out about James Coleman's life before Julia died to get more information about my family.
