Warren Coleman, mixed-race son of Gen. Barringer

I would be interested in finding family information on Warren Coleman. We was born, I believe, after the Civil War to a Confederate General Rufus Barringer in the area of Cabarrus County, NC. He became well-educated and was backed financially by the famous Duke family in a mill to prove that a black owned/staffed factory could be successful. Rufus Barringer is not in my direct line but his Barringer grandfather is, so I share ancestry with this Coleman line.
