I just went back over material I copied years ago from Atlanta archives. could this be a clue to my thomas of wilks/baldwin co.info on "ceded lands" that were formed into wilkes county by constitution of 1777.later devided into other counties.warrants for survey were granted to the following.John coleman from VA 200 acres on broad rives and 600 acres on savannah river dates 10/10/1774.Johns wife's names was susannah and his sons were James, john and Thomas.
will of john colemanto wife susanna all personal estate till children are of age. to son james 500 acres on savannah river. to john, mill and tract of land...land on broad river...to son thomas the land where I now live. to daughters susannah, chalotte and elizabeth. signed oct 22, 1778.
