My grandmother Miriam also had a brother named Abie Coleman born Oct. 1889. Bessie Coleman, her sister, was born Sept. 1886, and married a Galloway. Her mother was Julia Emma Ivey before she married Coleman. She was born March 1846 in SC, said her father was born in GA but all the rest of the family was born in SC. Miriam married my grandfather, Frank T. Herring who was born in Clio, SC Aug. 1, 1867, so that would be in Marlboro county. Do any of those names and places match up with your info?
