Absalom Melton Coleman was the son of Robert A. Coleman and Eliza E. Calcote.Robert A. Coleman was born 7/11/1810 in Union County, SC and died 10/10/1882 in Choctaw County, MS.Other children of Robert A. Coleman included Stephen D. (7/13/1841), William Phillip (3/8/1845-7/13/1863), Robert H. C. (1855), Charles (4/8/1857), and Ella Darthula (12/30/1859).
