'' For Marsha King-Grady''
Hi Marsha, this is Helen again, I apologize for the hasty message that I sent you at first, but I was so excited, but you entered a post and it had the name Meta McNeal in it, and I have posted these names on the net for a year now but with no response until now, I too am researching my Coleman side of the family, Philip is one of my ggrandmothers name, her (my ggrandmother} name is Blanch Luella Coleman-Perry. there were 13 children in this family, there is a Martha Coleman a sister to Blanch that moved to New Jersey and lived her adult life there, she (Martha) had a twin sister Mary that passed away at an early age.I feel the P. in P. Marvinis Paul, who is a twin to Silas. there is another brother that moved from the deep south and moved to Arkansas, they called him Butler, but I feel this is a nick name. he had a daughter named Ella, and a son named Dewey, later they moved on to Texas.my mother is Ophelia(living) and she use to write to Ella when they were young. my mother was born in 1921 and I think Ella was a wee bit older than she. also my mom use to write to Martha in N.J. for my ggrandmother Blanch. Blanch and Silas moved from the deep south after thier brother Butler, Silas left Blanch with Butler in Arkansas so that he could go to work on the railroad in Mo. later when the Land Run came Silas came to the Indian Territory to stake his land, he staked over 500 acres, but while he was in Mo. he met his wife Julia Neely, he then went to Arkansas and got Blanch and moved to the I.T. which is now Oklahoma. Silas and Julia had 12 children all are deceased now. please respond to [email protected]. I will be delighted to hear from you. oh yeah! on a piece of paper my ggrandmother has the names Ted, Jack, Meta, Mattie McNeal. along with Howe, Howard, Hammond, Moss, Hoss, Whitey?, Gipp, Link Ledman, Jim, George, Gorgine?. does any of these names sound familiar to you? please respond......Helen.
