Hi. I too am tracing my Coleman roots in Georgia and I think we might be connected. My earliest ancestor is a Daniel R. Coleman, born ca 1800 (1810) in Henry Co, Georgia. He married a Mahala Treadwell in 1830 in Henry Co., Ga, and was murdered in 1835 in Sumter County ., Ga. He had 4 children. They all migrated to Clay Co., Al before the civil war.We have no idea about Daniel's siblings or parents. Our family history also has tell of Cherokee Indian blood. I have a book "Cherokee Roots Vol II" It has some Coleman surnames in it. Some of myColeman's went to Tx, but I can't find one at the moment by the name of Richard. (Henry is a popular family name, it has been handed down to almost every generation.) I am desperately searching for the parents of Daniel R. Coleman, and would be glad to share info if it would help. Thanks - Larri
