Was your father from the Mingo County area and born about 1929?I found this family in the 1930 census for Hardee in Mingo County, West Virginia:

He married Jennie Evans on 15 February 1910 and listed himself as a widower on the marriage application, so the children in the 1910 census were born to a different mother.The marriage license is here:
