Georgie Cole, Uncle Charlie & Ada Cavender Cole
Where did Georgie's mother & father go between 1887 and 1900? Dad reappears, but mom??
Birth record & SSDI show
Georgie Imogene Cole(aka Georgie I/Georgie E)(1887 Toledo, Lucas, OH - 1978 Mesa, Maricopa, AZ)daughter of George R. (aka George F./P./S.)& Ada (aka Ida F) Cavender
and then there's the birth record for Georgie's sister: Ida Louise b. 1885, also in Toledo, Lucas, OH
can't find brother Dana any where
According to family oral history an Uncle Charlie Cole took care of the orphaned children (Dana & the 2 girls Georgie & Louisa), possibly in Mobeetie or Masterson TX.Can't find Uncle Charlie.
Suddenly, in the 1900 Census for Brighton Town, Pct 1, Arapahoe County (northern district 135), CO, father George R. Cole shows-up with new wife and children:
Cole, George b. Apr 1858 Mich, new wife Bertha M (nee Strickler, married March 1900) and the girls Ada L. & Georgie E.)
By 1910 George Cole & wife Bertha M are in Los Angeles - no children, they can be found in Los Angeles in 1920 & 1930 too.
Georgie I Cole married Tad Ralph Knowles in 1915 in Gunnison, CO
Questions I need help with:
1.) What happened to Ada Cavender Cole?
2.) Michigan Marriage Record: George F Cole married Ada T Cavender on 06 October 1881 in Adrian, Lenawee, Michigan. Names are right, but the year is 20 yrs off...help!?
