Hello Wanda, Thank you for your interest in the Cole Chronicle. In order to look and see if there is information on your particular line I will need some dates and places. Approxmite date of the birth of James Cole and where he was born. If you have the dates for Sampson that too would be helpful. Was Sampson Cole's wife, Freelove, her given name or her surname? I would not mind talking to people on the telephone about Geealogy but my husband is ill. He has been fighting Cancer for five years, a cancer that the Doctor's thought would take him the first year. Three months ago he was also diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. I am sure you will understand that I cannot spend unlimited time on the telephone. Before Computers came on the scene in genealogy, Surname Quarterlies and Newsletters were a wonderful tool for many genealogist. At that time, you wrote letters to anyone you could find that was researching the same name you were. It was an unwritten law that if you asked for information in a letter, you also enclosed an SASE. That is a self adddressed, stamped, envelope. Surname quarterlies, like the ones I published were filled with Family Group Sheets, Ancestor Charts, Land Deed, Wills, Census Records etc. Everyone involved shared what they found in Libraries, Courthouses and Cemeteries. Most publishers/editors encouraged documentation. If I received a family group sheet with no documentation noted I would ask for it and told my readers to find that documentation to be sure they were on the right track. I'll be glad to check to see if there could be some help for you on The Cole Chronicle, but need a bit more information. Again thanks for the inquirey. Clovis Notify Administrator about this message?
