He married ELISABETH SHERMAN, daughter of DAVID SHERMAN and HANNAH JUDSON. She was born March 07, 1755 in Woodbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut, and died December 07, 1835 in Stanstead County, Quebec, Canada.

iii. BETSEY COLE, b. July 27, 1792, St. Johnsbury, Caledonia County, Vermont; d. March 08, 1878, Hart, Oceana County, Michigan; m.
