Chances are that you have hit on the graves of William Patton Coldwell, b. 17 Jun 1876 in Oregon; m. 23 Dec 1903, and Sadie Mary Hatten Coldwell, b. 21 Nov 1882 in Tennessee. Could you please tell me what is the source for your information of the location of the graves and the dates of death of William and Sadie? I have data that I trust that places William Patton Coldwell as the son of John Crittenden Coldwell, b. 12 Mar 1838 in Harlan Co, Ky., d. 3 Jul 1919 in the Ky. State Hospital(?), and Sarah Frances Moran, b. 31 Mar 1852 in Laurel Co, Ky., m. 27 Sep 1870. d.20 Jan 1941 in Paint Lick (Wallacetown), Ky. A fairly extensive geneology of the Coldwells, backward and forward, is available if you are interested. One of Willaim Patton Coldwell's grandsons,Chris McChristie Coldwell, of Dallas, Texas is the webmaster of a Coldwell website, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/coldwell. The information that I had, claimed that William Patton Coldwell sometimes styled himself a Caldwell and that several of his children also assumed the Caldwell name. So your information that the gravemarkers reveal the use of the Coldwell name is of some interest to me, and I intend to call your note to the attention of Chris Coldwell. I, however, am from a different branch of the Coldwell family.
