Allen Coldwell/Caldwell mid 1700's - late 1700's Virginia

Looking for Allen Caldwell/Coldwell m. Dorothy Roberts. Dorothy would have been born mid 1700's in VA. Dorothy is mentioned in her father's will and Allen is one of the Executors. One of the witnesses is a John C. Coldwell. This will was filed 1773 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. After 1773, a lot of this Roberts family moves to Hawkins County, Tennessee. Dorothy's brother John is in Surrey County, North Carolina and two of his granddaughters marry Coldwell/Caldwell men of Hawkins County, TN who are descended from Caldwell/Delphia Ballard line. (grandsons)

Can anyone shed any light on Caldwell/Coldwell in these areas? Does anyone have an Allen b. mid 1700's who would have had ties to Pittsylvania County, Virginia? It is believed that George Roberts died while living with daughter Dorothy and her husband.
