He m #1 Rebecca Jane McCarty 9 Dec 1858 Johnson Co, Ky - She born 1841 Elliott Co., Ky dtr of James (Big Jim) Mc Carty, buried in Relief, Morgan Co., Ky, Their children were: Arminta b 1859 Ky m Mr. Blanton; Clarissa b 2 Oct 1862 Ky; Alice b 1866 Ky m Reuben Ison, William Lewis b 5 Aug 1868 Sandy Hook, Elliott Co, Ky and Minerva. Then Hiram Lewis Coldiron m #2 Sarah Saylor and had John J b Sept 1872 Kansas, and Thomas J Coldiron b 1879 Iowa.
