Hi, Lois Coldiron's father was not an Indian. He was Ambrose Coldiron who was the son of James coldiron, son of conrad Codiron, son of Johan Georg Kaltisen. Kaltisen came over from Germany, and his name was translated directly: Kalt is cold and isen is iron. Hope this helps, Patty
