Thanks. Evidently the surname came down closer to you than it did in my line (which descends through the Whitneys).

Do you know any (living) relatives with the Coldham surname? If they were to do a Y-DNA test, it might help us zero in on Thomas Coldham's origins in England.

What I posted can be said to represent a theory as to his parentage, but it would be nice to have some confirmatory evidence.
