Emily COLCORD and John CALKINS

Greetings,
I am posting this mostly for Tim COLCORD because I suspect that he may be best able to answer a question. But, I welcome any reponses.
I note that in a couple of Tim's responses to COLCORD family inquiries that he references the COLCORD Genealogy "Descendants of Edward Colcord of New Hampshire", authored by Doane B. Colcord and published in 1908. I also have a copy of the book and reference it in the following.
From the book we (the CALKINS) are connected to the COLCORD family through Emily(8). I trace Emily's paternal lineage as follows:
Edward,c1616(1),Samuel,1656(2),Jonathan,1684(3),Jonathan II,1710(4),Jonathan III,1743(5),Phineas,1767(6),Joseph,1797(7),Emily,1830(8). (Note that coincidentaly there is another Emily COLCORD also born in 1830 on page 69.) Per the book, the Emily of interest here married John CALKINS.
Several of the family members of Joseph COLCORD(7) and Sally (DICKINSON) COLCORD are written up on pages 60-63. But there is no mention of Emily by the author. The families of the three children of John CALKINS and Emily (COLCORD) CALKINS are written up on page 9, in the Appendix. John and Emily and one child were included in the 1850 US census.
Emily was born in 1830 and died in 1857, apparently in Bath, NY. She was only 27-years. Leaving three small children. My GGrandfather, Merville was the youngest and only two-years old in 1857. The children (Mary E. and Merville) show up in the 1860 US census being raised by Emily's parents, Joseph and Sally and (Gilbert W.) being raised by a STEWART family.
So all this leads up to the question: Do you or anyone else know anything at all about Emily? Anything about her short life? The cause of death? The burial place? Etcetra? And further, what happened to John CALKINS after Emily's death? He just seems to disappear. Even a clue of where to look for him would help.
And finally, you may already be aware of this but there is a short bio of Joseph COLCOLD and Sally (DICKINSON) COLCORD posted for the Steuben County (NY) web pages. It was posted by Kelly Taft Krause on Mar 19, 1999. The post contains many differences from the COLCORD Genealogy book, including the omission of Emily from the list of children. For anyone interested the URL is:

Thanks, in advance,
