Elizabeth "Betsey" Colclough, wife of Freeman Senter, was a daug of John Colclough(middle name said to be Asby-but I don't have documentation on his middle name) and his wife Lucy Grigsby. Capt. John Colclough b 14 Sep 1743 Stafford Co., VA was the son of William Colclough b 2 Jul 1716/17 Stafford Co., VA and his wife Mary Rogers b ca 1720. William Colclough(son of Benjamin Colclough and wife Rachel)and Mary Rogers(daug John Rogers & Mary Newton)were married 30 Dec 1741 St. Paul's Register, Stafford Co., VA. I descend from a sister of Capt John Colclough, Margaret Colclough b 4 Feb 1744/45 Stafford Co., VA, who married Henry A. Foote on 29 May 1760 Fauquier Co., VA. The families of William Colclough and Henry Foote moved together to then Granville Co., NC(later Bute Co., NC and now Warren Co., NC)in 1762 where they registered land on the same day in Bute Co., NC.
