When Rachel Colclough, wife of Benjamin, died Christmas of 1748, she left a will naming Alexander and some siblings as children of her daughter Elizabeth Bowling. Some believe that it is written in such a way that Alexander might be William's son by another wife. The way I read it, it seems to me that Elizabeth is Alexander's mother. If you want the wording of the will, I will find it and give it to you.
Do you have anything on Martha Patsy Williams' parents? I think they are Benjamin & Sarah williams of So. River Parish, Ann Arundel Co. MD; but this information is quite sketchy.
This is my wife's family, and the puzzles are many. We are hoping some day to trace William Bowling back to Thomas who came to VA on the "Swan" in 1610. It does look promising. A very good researcher with the Bowling Association is apparently a part of this family and has been very helpful.
