I am a descendant of Wesley Colburn, he and his brothers, and a whole bunch of neighbors, moved from South Carolina to Perry County, Alabama, my hometown. I am doubly a Colburn, because my grandmother, grandaughter of Wesley Colburn , was born a Hood, but then married my grandfather, a Colburn. I think my grandfather, William Henry Colburn, had ancestors originally from Texas. I do know that in this particular line, the son is given the name Colburn. I am at work, so I don't have my research, but another name in this lineage might be William Jackson Colburn. Any information is appreciated.
