I am seeking anyone related to the Colburn family who settled in PA.Rev. John was born in England in 1790 and emigrated to America about 1830 and first secured employment in Pennsylvania Furnace. In 1836, he came to Karthaus and worked in the mines and afterwards in the furnace. He died in 1840, aged 51 and is buried in Bridgens' Cemetery, Oak Hill, Karthaus Twp, Clearfield Co., PA.His daughter, Sarah, was married to Daniel Moore, Sr., but they had no children.
His brother, Richard, came to America a few years later and settled in Greenwood Furnace, Huntingdon Co, afterwards, he moved to Broadtop and mined coal.In 1838, he came to Karthaus and joined his Brother, John.He was very active in the Oak Hill Meth. Church.Members of his family were:Rev. Richard H. of the M. E.
