Hi,
I am from the Perry County Colburns. My family actually still lives in Perry County. I have only started doing geneology recently. My great-great- grandfather is Wesley Colburn. His brothers are Giles and Jacob, I do believe. There is actually an entire grave yard in Perry County that has nothing but Colburn's in it. I found Wesley in the Perry Couty library and then found out that most of the Colburns there lived so closely on the perry county/bibb county lines that most of them did the census in Bibb county. When I went I found lots of stuff so maybe everyone should also try Bibb records. I actualy haven't done research in over a year because I been discouraged. I know that Wesley, and his wife Eliza were both born in South Carolina. If anyone could give me any more information, I would be appreciative. I am certainly willing to look up anything for someone net time I go home. Feel free to email me!
