I have found a few things on my Colburns since my last post. The L. H.? Colburn
was Lewis H. Colburn (married Elizabeth Stockman), the father of my gr gr grandmother who was Mary Jane Colburn, she married Philip Mathone in Perry County AL on July 16, 1866. The next time I find the family is in 1870 and they are in Lowndes County AL. I have not been able to find them again after that. In 1910 Mary Jane's sister Malinda Catherine is in Smith Co. MS living in the home of Mary Jane's son, William Henry Mathone. Malinda's last name appears to be Perry or Peavy, it's very had to read. I am stuck again, I have not found the Colburns again.
