WOW!!! You have no idea how excited I am. My Meeker line was one of the first I did when I started my genealogy 15 years ago and Betsey Colburn has always been this blank name on my family tree. My clue to Edward and Esther as possible parents was that they lived next door to Daniel and Betsey Meeker in one of the census, but I had no proof. I also looked at the book on the descendants of Edward Colburn which seemed obvious since I was looking for an Edward but came up with nothing so just put it on the back burner for a while. Are you descended from this line? I have pictures of Daniel G. Meeker and Betsey's stones in the cemetery in Burlington Flats. Her stone says she died Nov. 11, 1864 not 1861. Would you be so kind as to give me the specifics of Betsey's line, or is there a book I get this from? I am not familiar with Nathaniel of Dedham as I was concentrating on the immigrant Edward. The only reason I even have an exact date of birth for Betsey is that I have an old diary from her grandaughter Lucy Ann Meeker (b. 1858) who wrote down her genealogy as she knew it but she did not give Betsey's parents. Also do you know the ancestry of Edward's wife Esther?
