Richard,
I also decend from Revel Colburn thru his son John Revel Colburn. I also find his father to be Spencer Colburn. I can't remember my source but Spencer is supposed to be the son of Wm. Colborn who married a Temperence_______. I think Wm. also had a son William. Spencer got his fathers land in Accomack Co. Va. upon his death. The books are rather sketchy during this time period in Accomack Co.
I am familiar with your line because I also decend from a Wm. Polk. I believe mine was the grandfather of yours if I am not mistaking. Sandy
