I am seeking information on Eugene Colburn from Pittston, Maine. He is the brother of my great granfather Nelson Colburn who died in 1895. Eugene moved to California in the 1870's. Nelson wrote to him often and kept a diary every day of his life. No one knows what became of Eugene.I have just returned from Pittston where I uncovered much of the Major Reuben Colburn story. He is also my grandfather, and quite a significant man in history. My script for a movie based on his life is going well. Oddly there are no paintings of him anywhere. Only a painting of his nephew William who founded Orono, Maine. I'm still looking for a picture and personal letters.
