Hi, Richard,I believe I can help you with the ancestors of Revel Colburn/Coleburn. My information starts with William Coulbourne I, who first settled in Northampton Co., VA, abt. 1652, and then moved to Somerset Co., MD, between 1663-64. His son, Robert Coulbourn married Rebecca Revell, dau. of Edward Revell and Frances. Their son William Coulbourn, b. 1698, d. 1752, Accomack Co., VA, married Temperence unknown. Their children were Spencer Coleburn, William b. abt. 1726, Ann b. abt. 1727, Susanna b. abt. 1730, and John b. abt. 1736. Spencer died intestate in 1778 and no record was found of his wife or children. In 1778, a Revell Coleburn sold 100 acres which had been left to him by his father, no record. Revel Coleburn made a choice of Henrietta Coleburn as his guardian. I have more information but I need to proof read it before I can send it to you or anyone else. I am interested in the information David sent you because I have found mention of Revel being married twice but this is the first time I have actually seen a list of the descendants from the second marriage. The thing I notice is that they list the date of death of Margaret Polk as 24 Sept 1844 in Henry Co., IN. The second wife, Margaret Current supposedly married him abt. 1812. When did she die? Refer to my messages down the line about John Revel in the Colburn Forum. Revel's son, John Revel and several other family members moved to NW Missouri about 1840 where John Revel was a Methodist Circuit Rider. Keep in touch. When I get my information updated, I will let you know. I appreciate David's input with the info he has collected. Margie
