My ggreatfather was David Willis Colburn from Marion, Ala.(according to my mother) which could be a mistaken memory. I have been searching for someone to make a connection. But my David was born 1836 according to Ala archives & history he joined the 11th Ala regiment in 1861, was 25 yrs old at the time and single. His father was Henry. This is all I know.
