My husband's gggrandfather was William Colburn who was born in New Haven perhaps around 1835. Does anyone else have William in their tree? He went on to marry Abigail Ayers from Duchess County New York and became the father of Walter Ayers Colburn who lived with his wife and children in Branford CT. I have birth data for Walter and his descendants. Any information would be very much appreciated for William and his predecessors.
