Hello Linda, Thanks so much for the response. I have often wondered if Sheldon was the correct last name for Mary since it seemed to lead nowhere. I think someone in my line somewhere must have transposed the Mary Sheldon name you mentioned with Mary Grace Sina. Much of my information came together through researching on the Bloss and Coe lines. Caroline Bloss, your ancestor, had a brother Adin Bloss. Adin married Caroline Colburn, the sister of Francis and my ancestor Mary L Colburn. Mary married Ferdinand Coe and her brother Olin Colburn married Ferdinand's sister Paulina Coe. The bible you have is such a fantastic resource. I would love an image of it, if that's possible. Those are the only spouses I've located so far. I have 8 children located for Paul and Mary Colburn. You mentioned you had more than I had listed. I had suspected there were more with the large gap between Caroline and Rhoda. I would love that information. I have attempted to locate parents for Paul but have not been able to pin down where he was born. It looks likely that he is from a branch of the Colburn family who came to the Plymouth colony very early on but I cannot make out how he connects. The only clues I've found so far is a David Colburn, who might be Paul's brother. He was one of the original settlers of Ellicott, Oneida, New York and settled there almost the same time Paul came to French Creek. David's headstone says he came from Plainfield, New York. The other clue is a Rhoda Colburn who married Asa Barns on 12 Nov 1801 in Paris, Oneida, New York. Because of the date of the marriage I think she is a little younger than Paul but could still easily be a sister, and Paul and Mary named a daughter Rhoda. Obviously not much to go on but intriguing. Thank you again for the information. Please contact me at mystic712000@yahoo.com I would be happy to share all the information I have with you. Notify Administrator about this message?
